GLY Tracking: Guangliyuan Parcel Guide
GLY is Guangliyuan, a China consolidator used by AliExpress and Temu. Find out why tracking freezes after export and how to find the local carrier delivering your order.
If you bought an item online from a marketplace like AliExpress or Temu and your order details list GLY as the shipping provider, you are dealing with Guangliyuan International Logistics (often referred to as GLY-Express).
GLY is a line-haul consolidator in China. They collect packages, process them through export hubs, and dispatch them internationally—but they do not deliver the package to your front door.
To check your current status, paste your tracking number in the search bar at the top of this page.
How to track a GLY package
GLY shipping works in stages. The tracking number assigned to your order will follow you through the entire journey, even when the package is handed over to other carriers.
GLY tracking number formats
GLY uses several tracking number formats depending on the destination country and the specific consolidator route:
- GLY Prefix Format (Most Common): Starts with
GLYfollowed by 10 to 12 digits (e.g.,GLY1234567890). - Standard Alphanumeric UPU Format: A 13-character code starting with two letters, followed by nine numbers, and ending in
CN(e.g.,LF123456789CN). - Numeric Only Format: A simple 12-digit number string (e.g.,
921234567890).
You should copy the entire string from your store account dashboard exactly as it appears. Do not try to strip out letters or space formatting before searching.
Why did my GLY tracking stop updating?
The most common complaint with GLY shipping is that the tracking updates suddenly freeze. This usually happens at two specific points during transit:
1. The export transit gap
After the status says "Departed from outward office of exchange" or "Handed over to airline", you may not see any new updates for 10 to 20 days.
- What is happening: The package is either on a cargo ship crossing the ocean, waiting in a container terminal, or queueing at the destination country's airport. Tracking scans will not resume until the package is scanned by local customs or your domestic postal service.
2. The last-mile carrier handoff
Because GLY is a consolidator, they do not own delivery vans in countries like the US, UK, Brazil, or Australia. Once your package clears customs in your country, it is handed over to a local provider:
- United States: USPS (United States Postal Service)
- United Kingdom: Royal Mail
- Brazil: Correios
- Australia: Australia Post
- Canada: Canada Post
Once this handoff occurs, the GLY tracking page might show a "Last-mile tracking number" in the status history. You should copy this new number and track it directly on the local carrier's website for real-time delivery estimates.
What do GLY status updates mean?
- "Shipment information received" — The seller generated the shipping label, but GLY does not have the physical package in their warehouse yet.
- "Consolidated at export hub" — Your package has arrived at the Guangliyuan sorting facility in Shenzhen or Yiwu and is being bundled with thousands of other shipments heading to the same country.
- "Handed over to airline / Carrier departed" — The shipment has cleared Chinese customs and left China.
- "Received by destination post" — The package has landed in your country and is being queued for customs processing.
Typical GLY shipping timelines
Because GLY is an economy shipping method, transit times are slow. Expect the following averages:
- United States / Canada: 15 to 30 days
- United Kingdom / Europe: 12 to 25 days
- South America (e.g., Brazil): 20 to 45 days
- Asia-Pacific: 7 to 15 days
If your package has not arrived or shown updates for more than 30 business days, you should contact the merchant directly to open an investigation with the carrier.
